This month’s Community Supper Club is set to transport your taste buds straight to the heart of the Caribbean! We're thrilled to present "A Taste of the Caribbean," where I'll bring the essence of my homeland to our communal table right here in DC.
Join us for an unforgettable Caribbean culinary experience! Here are some of the mouthwatering dishes you can expect:
Main Dishes:
Puerto Rican Pernil: Tender, roasted pork shoulder.
Jerk Chicken Wings: Spicy and delicious Jamaican favorite.
Mofongo Two Ways: Mashed green plantains with pork cracklings or a vegetarian-friendly version.
Accompaniments:
Arroz Congri: Flavorful Cuban dirty rice.
Rice and Beans: Puerto Rican white rice with saucy red beans, pork, green olives, and potatoes.
Arroz con Gandules: Pigeon peas cooked with rice and annatto.
